There are two levels to OIC membership: executive members and general members. Executive members are appointed by the OIC chair and may vote on committee business. They are the primary advisors to the committee chair and form the primary pool from which Investigation panels are formed. The OIC executive committee is limited to a maximum of 20 members.
General members don't vote in committee decisions but are welcome to contribute to discussions and may be sought for advice in matters pertaining to their special expertise. They have access to general OIC communications channels, including the OIC email discussion list. General membership is open to all S.A.M. members in good standing, subject to the approval of the OIC chair. There is no limit to the number of general members.
All members are expected to contribute to developing resources and sharing information.
Before applying for membership, please read our General Directives and Code of Conduct. Your application form will require you to indicate that you have read them and agree to abide by them.
