WHAT AGES DO YOU PERFORM FOR?
I gear my shows towards the age groups that are in the audience. Usually three years old is probably the minimum age.  Top age for a birthday clown is usually 8 years old. When booking a show, think about the average age of the guests.
 
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SHOW?
My magic show is filled with lots of visual magic tricks. Some of the tricks involve audience participation. The show contains lots of comedy and some great photo opportunities. The performance also includes balloon art which will be given out to guests over the age of three.
 
HOW LARGE A GROUP CAN YOU PERFORM FOR?
As long as you tell us how many children will be there, we can prepare for any size audience. Of course the price changes over 20 children.
 
DO YOU USE ANIMALS?
No I don’t use animals.
 
IS THE BIRTHDAY CHILD IN THE SHOW?
The birthday child is the special guest of honor so of course we have some extra special magic tricks for the birthday child. In fact, a section of the show features the birthday child.
 
HOW ARE YOU DRESSED?
I’m dressed like a clown. I am a warm, friendly clown and am not loud which would scare the younger children.
 
CAN I SERVE FOOD DURING THE SHOW?
Because every magic trick involves their full attention, we ask that no food be served during the show. Also because they are helping out in the show with some very expensive magic props, we appreciate clean hands! Actually, as a surprise during the show, I make cookies magically (please don’t tell) so they will be eating something magical.
 
HOW DO I PAY YOU?
You pay me right after the show. Cash or check made out to TOP HAT PRODUCTIONS will be fine. Credit cards are also accepted if paid in advance when you book the party.
 
CAN WE TAKE PICTURES?
Take all the still pictures that you want. There will be many photo opportunities. You may take snippets of the show with your video camera but please don’t videotape the entire show.
 
DO YOU NEED A TABLE?
I bring everything that we need. Please give me a space with no one behind us and room to walk four steps in all directions.
 
IS THERE ANYTHING SCARY IN YOUR SHOW?
There is nothing scary in the show. Everything is aimed at being fun.
 
IS THERE ANYTHING MESSY IN YOUR SHOW?
Absolutely not. I clean up after I work.
 
WHAT IF MY DAUGHTER IS SHY AND DOESN’T WANT TO BE PICKED?
That’s fine. If she has a sibling or a best friend who will go up for the birthday child, that will be fine. Actually, I find that shy children “warm up” to me and will eventually make an appearance during the show.
 
DOES EVERYONE GET A BALLOON?
Children over the age of three will get a balloon. For safety reasons, we do not give balloons to children under four because of choking and popping hazards.
 
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Once we get all the information on the show, your party is officially booked. The phone call will be considered a verbal agreement. You have 24 hours to cancel once this phone call ends. After that, because we reserved this date and time specifically for you, if you cancel, you must pay us 50% of the agreed upon price.
